Year 5 Visit to Newhaven Fort
On Thursday 24 November Year 5 visited the historic Newhaven Fort.
Children had the opportunity to experience ‘a real life air raid’, see guns and bombs, sit in soldier’s barracks and also have a wonderful talk in a workshop about the facts of WW2!
They learned about the people who had fought, were evacuated and those who worked on the Home Front.
The children had a fabulous day and were a real credit to the school. Thanks go to Mrs Marshall and Mrs Fisher who accompanied the children on the day along with three parent helpers.
